The Great Big Green Week 2026
We hope you were able to take part in some of the events during June’s Great Big Green Week.
Churches Together in Milton Keynes organised a Prayer Vigil at the World Environment Day Pillar at the Milton Keynes Rose in Campbell Park (above), and the MK Eco Church Network organised an event held at Christ the Cornerstone which focused on ‘Celebrating 10 years of Eco Church’. There was an interesting talk given by Andy Atkins, the Chief Executive of A Rocha. 2026 is the 10th anniversary of A Rocha’s Eco Church programme. There were also posters celebrating the achievements of many of the Eco Churches in Milton Keynes in the cloisters at Christ the Cornerstone and A Special Choral Evening Service: Celebrating Creation & Caring for our Planet’, also at Cornerstone, performed by The Choir of the City Church.
