Restore:MK – What’s been, and What’s coming up

Thank you to everyone who came along Restore:MK’s September gathering, and thank you again to Kath Long at All Saints Church, Loughton for hosting us so generously.
Here’s a reminder of what we covered, as well as details of what’s coming next.
1 – Gospel Entrepreneurs – seeking economic transformation for our city
We were blessed to have Steve Gee lead us through a session exploring this movement he helps to lead, and that we believe could be significant for our churches in Milton Keynes.
Gospel Entrepreneurs exists to mentor, coach and encourage Christian entrepreneurs as they seek to live out their faith through business, innovation and leadership. Our vision is to redeem the word entrepreneurship within the life of the local church. We believe entrepreneurship is more than starting businesses—it is about recognising opportunities, creating solutions, stewarding resources and serving others with the gifts God has given.

2 – Join us for our November Gathering
Our regular Restore:MK Leaders’ Gatherings are a space for church leaders to connect, support and pray for one another, and for our city. Our next meeting is on Thursday 19 November from 9.00-11.00am when we’re grateful to be hosted by Ruth Iley and the team at Milton Keynes Quaker Centre.

3 – Looking ahead to 2027
As we begin to prepare for a new year, there remains a strong sense that God is calling His church to something significant across the city of Milton Keynes.
The strapline for our city is ‘Better by Design’. However, for our churches – both individually and collectively – we have no doubt that we are ‘Better by God’s Design’. As we look ahead, we not only want to continue exploring what this looks like, but we want to actively follow God into whatever He has for us.
Over the next couple of months, I’ll be catching up with a number of leaders from across Milton Keynes, ahead of a re-launch (and likely name change) for Restore:MK in the New Year. Our prayer is that this will be a platform from which we can better journey, pray and work together for the spiritual, social, economic, political, and environmental transformation of our city.
