World Day of Prayer 2026 – Friday 6 March
The World Day of Prayer takes place each year on the first Friday of March. Churches of all denominations get together to celebrate this international, ecumenical, Global Service. This year’s service has been written by the women of Nigeria with the theme I Will Give You Rest: Come.
Services will be held as follows:
10.30am at Stony Stratford Methodist Church, Silver Street, MK11 1JS
2.00pm at St Peter & St Paul Church, High Street, Newport Pagnell, MK16 8AR
2.30pm at The Church of Christ the Cornerstone, 300 Saxon Gate West, MK9 2ES (note later start time than usual)
7.00pm at St Michael’s Church, Woburn Sands, 30 Church Rd, MK17 8TA
7.30pm at St Mary’s Church, Wavendon, MK17 8LY
